What the site covers
Five subjects, and only these five: the hydraulics and thermal behaviour of the machine, grinding and particle size, water chemistry, extraction theory, and diagnostics. Each has a topic in the navigation and every article belongs to one of them.
The reader this is written for owns a real setup and has outgrown recipes. They weigh doses, they know what a ratio is, and when something goes wrong they want to understand the mechanism, because a mechanism also explains the next problem. Articles are written to that level and do not stop to re-explain the basics on every page.
How articles are written
An article exists only if it contributes something a reader could not get by skimming the current top results for its subject: a worked calculation, a reconciliation of sources that disagree, a diagnostic path, an original diagram, a comparison of published parameters, an interpretation of published data, or documented original testing. That contribution is stated in one sentence at the top of the article, and the article is judged on whether it delivers it.
Every number names its source, and sources are matched to what they can actually prove. A mechanism claim needs peer-reviewed work or a published standard behind it; a forum report is cited as one person’s observation and is not allowed to carry a mechanism on its own. Where the only available sources are retailers repeating one another, the article records that the point is undocumented rather than retelling the story as history.

What is not here
No buying guides or gear rankings. No tasting notes or recipe writing. No brewing methods other than pressurised extraction. No roasting, except where a bean’s physical state changes extraction behaviour. No health claims about coffee or caffeine. Holding this line is what keeps the site a specialist reference rather than general coffee content.
